Broos and Oswin Appollis addressed the local media at the match venue on Monday afternoon and both said they expected a tricky outing against the hosts in the blistering heat of Juba.
The South African senior men’s national team tackle the North-East African country (kick off is at 3pm) just days after drawing 2-2 with Uganda at Orlando Stadium in the opening match of the qualifying programme last Friday.

“We know that South Sudan are an aggressive team, and I don’t mean in a negative manner, and they are very dedicated. Also, the match will be played on a synthetic pitch, and it will not be easy. So, I expect a very difficult game tomorrow,” Broos said.
Broos’ charges wasted no time in getting down to business soon after arrival on Monday morning and hit the gym. They have continued the work as they prepare to face the home team in a match that has captured the imagination of the local fans.

“It will be a very difficult game, but we have prepared very well. We are looking forward to the game, but I know will be very difficult,” Appollis said.
