Norwich ease pressure on Wagner with win at Hull
Norwich eased the pressure on under-fire boss David Wagner with a 2-1 win at Hull that boosted their bid for a Championship playoff place on Friday.
Wagner is fighting to save his job amid growing criticism from frustrated Norwich fans as his side struggle to climb into the promotion race.
Against that troubled backdrop, a loss to fellow playoff chasers Hull would have been another major blow for Wagner.
But instead Jon Rowe and Christian Fassnacht lifted Norwich to their first win in 2024.

Rowe underlined why several Premier League clubs are rumoured to be interested in him with a superb run and finish in the 36th minute.
Fassnacht came off the bench to bundle in Norwich's second in the 88th minute and although Tyler Morton pulled one back in stoppage-time, the Canaries held on to secure their first victory in five matches.
Norwich now sit just one point and one place behind seventh placed Hull.
