SA heroines to get full SuperSport treatment
The return of South Africa’s triumphant football heroines from Morocco will be broadcast live on SuperSport throughout Tuesday morning.
Banyana Banyana’s 9am arrival, and all the fanfare that goes with it, will dominate the day’s live offering on the World of Champions (PSL channel 202), as well as Showmax Pro and Standard, the streaming services.
“This is big for South Africa, for women’s football,” said Refiloe Jane, South Africa’s captain, after their momentous win in the Africa Cup of Nations. “I cannot wait to get back home. They have been supporting us since day one. Today, we saw a united South Africa.”
SuperSport is planning a studio presentation (from Randburg) with crossings to the airport to broadcast the celebrations.
