Durban City keep Milford, JDR Stars & Orbit College at arms length

Durban City maintained their position at the summit of the Motsepe Foundation Championship this weekend following a hard-fought victory over Milford, while JDR Stars and Orbit College fired blanks at the Olympia Park Stadium on Sunday.

All eyes were on Durban City, Milford, JDR Stars and Orbit College this weekend, as they got stuck in for a place at the top of the pile on Matchday 14.

Durban City, who entered this weekend’s list of Motsepe Foundation Championship action in pole position, recorded a 2-1 win against former leaders Milford at the Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday. The result saw Milford extend their winless streak to four matches while Durban City recorded their 3rd win on the spin.

As it stands, Durban City have now accumulated 28 points from 14 games played with Milford ending the latest gameweek in 4th position.

Elsewhere, JDR Stars and Orbit College could not be separated in Rustenburg on Sunday following a 0-0 stalemate in their matchday 14 encounter.

With the race for a promotional place gathering steam, JDR Stars remain unbeaten in their last four league games in 2nd place, with Orbit concluding the week in 3rd position.
