Titans claim clinical victory at Bullring

The Momentum Multiply Titans have clinched a 10-wicket victory on day four of the CSA 4-Day Franchise Series encounter against the DP World Lions on Sunday.

The Titans needed just 44 runs to chase and claim an easy victory at the DP World Wanderers.

Neil Brand (18*) and Proteas test skipper (25*) made sure that the defending champions easily crossed the finish line.

Proteas test spinner Simon Harmer starred for the Titans as he captured his second consecutive seven-wicket haul, ending with figures of 7-83 and 7-68, as the Lions crumbled and were effectively bowled out for 354 and 139, respectively.

There were three centurions at the Bullring, as Titans’ Theunis de Bruyn smashed 101 off 94 balls (hitting 14 fours and 2 sixes), Lions duo Ryan Rickelton scored 108 and Joshua Richard’s 107.


DOLPHINS V ROCKS - INCLEMENT WEATHER DRAWS PROCEEDINGS IN DURBAN

The final day of the CSA 4-Day Franchise Series encounter between the Hollywoodbets Dolphins and Gbets Rocks was abandoned on Sunday.

The entire match at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead was hampered by persistent rain and the hosts resuming on 135-4.

The Dolphins could only end on 164-4 before the game was called off.
