The Proteas won the toss and chose to bowl first in the final T20 International against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday afternoon.

It is the final game of an all-format series that saw the Proteas triumph 2-0 in the tests, and India 2-1 on the ODI’s.

It is thus set up for a cracking finale as India lead the five-match T20I series 2-1, after the fourth match in Lucknow on Wednesday was called off due to poor visibility and playing conditions from smog.

It means the Proteas will now be chasing a drawn series, and should they manage that it would effectively see the teams end level with a format series win each and one drawn.

The Proteas have made just one change to the team that lost the third T20I in Dharamsala on Sunday, with George Linde coming in for Anrich Nortje.

India have made three changes with Sanju Samson replacing the injured Shubman Gill, Wahington Sundar in for Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah in for Harshit Rana.

INDIA: Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav (capt), Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Washington Sundar, Varun Chakravarthy, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah

SOUTH AFRICA: Reeza Hendricks, Quinton de Kock (wk), Aiden Markram (capt), Dewald Brevis, David Miller, Donovan Ferreira, George Linde, Marco Jansen, Corbin Bosch, Lungi Ngidi, Ottneil Baartman
