Following the latest round of 2024-25 Motsepe Foundation Championship action, Durban City remained unbeaten following their victory over Baroka, while Milford recorded their first loss of the campaign.

As the only team without defeat in South Africa’s first division currently, Durban City concluded the latest gameweek with a slender 1-0 win against Bakgakga at the Chatsworth Stadium on Friday.

Formerly known as Maritzburg United, Durban City have now accumulated 15 points from seven matches played, while Baroka saw their four-match unbeaten streak come to an end on away soil.

Milford, who headed into their latest league assignment in pole position, suffered a 3-0 loss against Orbit College at Olympia Park Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The victory saw Orbit register back-to-back victories in the Motsepe Foundation Championship while Milford dropped down to third on the table.

While Durban City moved to the top of the log, Upington City leapfrogged Milford into second after their 1-1 draw with Cape Town City at Athlone Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Elsewhere, Venda Football Academy picked up their first victory of the season after a 1-0 victory against Kruger United at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday.
