Cricket's all-time highest test run scorers
Joe Root surpassed Alastair Cook against Pakistan to become England's highest test run scorer and move to fifth on the all-time list, headed by India's Sachin Tendulkar.
He was eventually out for 262 on Thursday in England's first innings which took him to 12 664 test runs.
