Golden ball for Malawi star
Malawi star Temwa Chawinga has won the Golden Ball in the U.S’ National Women’s Soccer League, breaking Sam Kerr's single-season scoring record with 20 goals in 25 games for KC Current.

Chawinga finished the season with goals in her last five games and 13 out of her last 14 games (she sat out the season finale), including goals against every other team in the NWSL.
The 26-year-olds moved to the league in the U.S from China, where she had been playing for Wuhan Jianghan University FC.
Her older sister, Tabitha, another Wuhan Jianghan product, was the leading scorer in D1 Arkema for Paris St. Germain last season, her first in France. She has since moved to Lyon.
