Kape makes major statement victory over Royval

Manel Kape continued to climb up the UFC Flyweight rankings this weekend after he put the division on notice with a First Round Knockout win over Brandon Royval at UFC Fight Night at the APEX on Sunday.
On a card that featured wins by Kevin Vallejos and Cezary Oleksiejczuk, Kape capped off UFC Vegas 112 in explosive fashion.
Kape walked down his opponent from the first bell and commenced the fight with stinging leg kicks. Royval attempted to close the distance by introducing the double jab, however Kape continued to press forward.

While Royval engaged with leg kicks of his own, Kape responded in the same manner. Then, with two minutes left of the first round, Kape landed a huge right hand that stunned Royval, as he closed the show with a series of right hands before referee Herb Dean stopped the fight.
Kape has now won seven of his last eight fights as he continues to make his way up the Flyweight rankings.
