Paarl Royals win toss and elect to bat

Paarl Royals won the toss and chose to bat first in their bottom-of-the-table SA20 clash against MI Cape Town at Boland Park, Paarl, on Friday.
The visitors, the competition’s defending champions, with just two points from a washed out match against Durban’s Super Giants, have yet to register a victory in their three matches to date while Royals have won one of their two games. Royals will be hoping to banish memories of their first game at home when they were dismissed for just 49 by Sunrisers Eastern Cape, losing that match by a lopsided 137 runs.
