Kylian Mbappé prepares to make his El Clasico debut
After landing in LaLiga EA Sports in the summer, the forward is ready to play in his first El Clasico at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.
This Saturday, October 26th, brings up the first El Clasico of the season between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. These two ancient rivals are separated by only three points, so it promises to be a spectacular match.
One of the many interesting aspects of this meeting between the teams is the fact that it’ll be Kylian Mbappé’s first game as a Madridista against Barça.
The Frenchman will take part in his first blockbuster match as a Real Madrid player, given that he had to miss the Madrid Derby with injury. But, he is fully recovered and ready to go in El Clasico, where he’ll face FC Barcelona in a Real Madrid shirt for the first time and aim to keep up the good run of form he enjoyed against Los Azulgranas as a PSG player.
With the Parisian club, he already played four matches against FC Barcelona, in which he scored six goals, getting on the scoresheet in three of the four matches in which they met. It’s clear that he has a knack of scoring against Los Culés and now he’ll enter a new chapter in his personal head-to-head against them, as a Real Madrid player and as one of the stars of the world’s biggest football rivalry.
Mbappé is in good form and just scored one of his best goals for Real Madrid, striking from distance to score for Los Blancos at the Estadio Abanca Balaídos in their recent win over RC Celta. With that goal, he now has six in nine league matches, having played every game apart from the aforementioned Madrid Derby.
The high line of Hansi Flick’s FC Barcelona is a new opportunity for Mbappé
Now, Mbappé hopes to debut in El Clasico with a victory and will be determined to show the world why he is considered one of the very best players in the world. The greatest footballers turn up in the biggest moments, so he’ll expect to do exactly that this weekend.
But, he and his teammates will be taking on the best team so far this Spanish football season. Barça are playing great attacking football, although they do leave a lot of space behind their back line. As such, Mbappé will aim to take advantage of the high line with his incredible pace.
The Frenchman knew when he arrived that Real Madrid’s duels with FC Barcelona are where stars are made, with these two historic clubs going toe to toe for almost every LaLiga EA Sports title. As one of the team’s leaders and up against a strong opponent with nine wins from 10, Mbappé will step out ready to give his all. Real Madrid are looking for what would be a fifth El Clasico win in a row across all competitions, while they have won seven of their past 10 meetings in LaLiga EA Sports. That’s a run Mbappé and Real Madrid will want to continue.
