Kaizer Chiefs concluded their United Kingdom International Tour with a frustrating goalless draw against Queens Park Rangers (QPR) at the TSG Training Centre on Saturday afternoon. Amakhosi entered the match hoping to finish on a high note; however, they only have themselves to blame for failing to break through QPR's defence.

In a striking turnaround from their previous outings, Chiefs exhibited a markedly enhanced performance, asserting their dominance from the opening whistle to the final moments of the match. Despite their vigorous efforts and control of the game, the team struggled with crucial decision-making in the attacking third, which ultimately undermined their potential to secure a victory.

Players, including Vicky Mkhawana, Imad Hendricks, Manqoba Ozoemena, Matala Makhubo, and Ofenste Kgosana, all faced ample scoring chances. Yet, each time, they found themselves thwarted by QPR's resolute defensive line, leaving Chiefs to rue missed opportunities and reflecting on what could have been.

Chiefs coach Dillon Sheppard expressed satisfaction with the team's performance throughout the tour, emphasizing that they should have clinched a victory against QPR. "We controlled the game, but our decision-making in the final third held us back," Sheppard remarked.

"However, I saw significant improvement in today's performance, especially in our attacking play. Tactical side and physical you could see our opponents are from good and proper development side. Physically our players were a bit struggling most of the times which is something that we have to look at and work on it."

During their tour, Chiefs played three matches against Manchester United.

They drew 1-1 with Leeds United and had a goalless draw against QPR. The team also toured Old Trafford Stadium. The Amakhosi will return to Mzansi on Sunday, passing through Dubai, and are expected to land back home on Monday.
