Ferrari named former Mercedes engineer Loic Serra as a technical director for its Formula 1 team on Thursday.
The 52-year-old Frenchman starts on 1 October and replaces the departed Enrico Cardile as chassis technical director.
Serra will report directly to team principal Fred Vasseur, Ferrari said in a press statement on Thursday.
Enrico Gaultieri remains in his role as Ferrari's technical director on the power unit side.
