AmaZulu will be seeking to make it three Absa Premiership wins in a row for the first time in a year when they host newly-promoted Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday.

Usuthu beat Cape Town City and Baroka FC in their previous two league games, but in between were humbled 5-0 by Mamelodi Sundowns in the Telkom Knockout, and coach Jozef Vukusic has called on the side to remember what made them successful in those victories.

“It will be a totally different game because we will be playing at home,” the Serbian tactician said. “We have been actively waiting for this chance to play in front of our fans, to show them what we are capable of achieving.

“We are expecting a good atmosphere and reception, so it will be interesting for us. We are coming off a good win against Baroka, which has boosted our confidence but we cannot take for granted that Stellenbosch will be a walk over.

“They have experience and strengths that we have analysed, so we have had to prepare well for them. We have also recognised their weaknesses and areas on the pitch which we can capitalise on, so we will look to take advantage of that to get maximum points.”

Usuthu remain second bottom in the league, but a victory could see them rise as high as 11th, above Stellenbosch.
