Black Leopards are set to take on Cape Town City in an Absa Premiership match at Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday.

Kick-off is at 3:30 pm CAT.

Lidoda Duvha are winless in their last two league matches having drawn 2-2 with SuperSport United in their previous league game last month.

Leopards are currently-placed 14th on the league standings - two points behind 11th-placed Cape Town City, but the former have a game in hand.

Edwin Gyimah, the new Leopards midfielder, is keen to help the team move further away from the relegation zone.

"I am prepared to fight for the team as I have fought for all the clubs I was with before Leopards," Gyimah said.

'We have lots of experienced players that joined the club and that will make the workload better.”

Meanwhile, City snapped their seven-match winless run in the league when they defeated Polokwane City 5-3 in their previous match in midweek.

The Citizens are currently-placed 11th on the league standings - three points behind fifth-placed Highlands Park.

Vasili Manousakis, the City assistant coach, masterminded the win over Polokwane and he is looking forward to working with the new head coach Jan Olde Riekerink.

“For me, I’m just happy we got the win that has eluded us. Our past results did not do justice to how well we have been playing," Manousakis said.

"But that’s now in the past and we all look forward to what lies ahead and working with Jan who brings a wealth of experience to the table."
