France-based Gace headlines Togo squad

Kai Tomety, Togo women's head coach, unveiled, on Wednesday, her list for the final phase of the TotalEnergies Women's Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2022.

The group is well known as it's made up of players who obtained Togo's first qualification for the WAFCON. From goalkeeper Ame Afi Amouklou to striker Woedikou, captain Nathalie Badate or even midfielders Odette Gnimtegma and Takyatou Yaya.

The workforce knows each other well and intends to shake up the hierarchy, with Talya Gace who arrives from AJ Auxerre in France as the freshest addition to the squad.

This group of 24 players is mainly dominated by those based in the Togolese topflight and eight outside of the country.

Togo will play in group B of the WAFCON alongside Cameroon, Tunisia and Zambia. The Ladies Sparrowhawks begin their tournament facing the Eagles of Carthage before facing the Indomitable Lionesses and finally the Copper Queens.
