Tickets for the 2019 Carling Black Label Cup have officially sold out a little under two weeks before Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates meet in the pre-season contest.

Chiefs confirmed on Monday that the game at the FNB Stadium was a sell-out, with fans set to flock to the July 27 meeting to catch a first glimpse of the teams in action since the Absa Premiership finished on May 11.

The unique concept of the fixture sees fans select the starting XIs of the sides, as well as have influence of substitutions.

The match had been played annually since 2011, but did not feature on the calendar in 2018 as it clashed with the Fifa World Cup in Russia.

Pirates have won the title on four previous occasions, all via penalty shoot-outs, while Chiefs have three victories, all completed in the 90 minutes.

The AmaKhosi have also won the last two clashes between the teams.
