Sundowns, Pirates drop points as Chiefs win
Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates dropped points on matchday 11 of the 2021/22 DStv Premiership season.

Sundowns were frustrated by Cape Town City in an encounter which ended in a 0-0 draw in the Mother City on Saturday, but Masandawana remained four-points clear at the top of the league standings.
Seventh-placed Pirates, meanwhile, are now winless in their last two matches after being held to a 0-0 draw by Lamontville Golden Arrows in Durban with the Buccaneers failing to take their chances on the day.

Marumo Gallants recorded their first victory of the season in the DStv Premiership when they edged out SuperSport United 2-1 in Tshwane in another game which was played on Saturday.
Gallants' Limpopo rivals, Sekhukhune United, ended Royal AM's eight-match unbeaten run when they claimed a 1-0 victory courtesy of Edwin Gyimah's goal in Johannesburg.
In Polokwane, Chippa United snapped their nine-match winless run when they secured a 1-0 victory over Baroka FC, who have since re-appointed Kgoloko Thobejane as their head coach.
Meanwhile, AmaZulu FC showed character as they came from behind to hold Stellenbosch FC to a 2-2 draw with Sphesihle Maduna and Keagan Buchanan grabbing two late goals in the Western Cape.

Two matches were played on Sunday with Kaizer Chiefs claiming a 1-0 win over Maritzburg United in Pietermaritzburg, but Amakhosi remained sixth on the standings despite the win.

Lastly, Sphiwe Mahlangu's solitary goal inspired TS Galaxy to a 1-0 win over Swallows FC in Mbombela and it was the Rockets' second victory of the season.
