Fulham clinched a fourth successive win as a 2-0 victory over Cardiff ensured at least a Championship play-off place for the Londoners on Friday.

Aleksandar Mitrovic marked his return from a three-game suspension with a penalty before Josh Onomah fired his third goal of the season to secure the three points.

Fulham are third in the table, four points behind West Brom and five back from leaders Leeds.

"We had to dig in at times tonight for that win and fight, but we came through it and it's another huge step on the way with three games still to go," Mitrovic told Sky Sports.

"This squad deserves to be in the Premier League and for sure, we will continue to give everything we've got every game to try and make that happen."

Second-half goals from Sonny Bradley and Elliot Lee lifted Luton off the foot of the table as they won 2-0 at fellow strugglers Huddersfield.

Bradley headed home James Bree's 49th-minute corner before Lee lashed home a shot on the rebound with 19 minutes left to earn three vital points that move Luton above Barnsley.

The win means Luton are now just two points adrift of safety, with 21st place currently occupied by Stoke.

Huddersfield are two points above the drop zone and remain in danger of following Swindon, Wolves, and Sunderland in becoming the fourth team to suffer back-to-back relegations from the top flight to the third tier in the Premier League era.
