The Betking Ethiopia Premier League title could be decided in the next week following the results of the games on Tuesday and Wednesday as a result of the games on Monday where Bahir Dar and Hadiya Hossana, two teams with mathematical chances of catching Fasil Kenema, dropped points. That left Ethiopia Coffee and St George in the hunt for the title.

Fasil could be crowned champions with a win in the Tuesday matchup against Adama Kenema which will open up a 16-point gap over Ethiopia Coffee; they currently lead them by 13. They lead St George by 15 points and will extend that to 18 while piling a lot of pressure on their not-so-close contenders.

However, Ethiopia Coffee and St George have only played 18 games to Fasil's 19, and they know they cannot afford to drop any points in their remaining games while hoping that the Leaders lose all their remaining encounters, which on their form is wishful thinking.

Ethiopia Coffee come up against a resurgent Jimma Aba Jifar, who are fighting for their lives and will certainly test their resolve, while St George face Wolaitta Dicha.

Fasil are feeling the heat, dropping four points in their last three games with two draws but the advantage they have is that they have a wily old hand, coach Seyoum Kebede, guiding them. Despite Adama Kenema's fighting spirit, which has seen them secure draws in their last two games, Kebede will try to steer his lads through with a win.

Fasil has a big goal-difference advantage over St George and Ethiopia Coffee, and they will need to not only win their games but score more goals to delay Fasil's coronation.
