Royal AM will face off with Lamontville Golden Arrows in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Chatsworth Stadium on Tuesday.
Kick-off is at 5pm CAT.
Thwihli Thwahla extended their winless run to four matches across all competitions when they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Swallows FC away in a league game on 19 October.
The defeat has left the KwaZulu-Natal side on the 10th spot on the DStv Premiership standings - three points above the relegation playoff spot and a point behind seventh-placed Stellenbosch FC.
Khabo Zondo, the Royal co-head coach, slammed his charges following their defeat to Swallows and he will be hoping that they produce an improved performance against Arrows.
“I think we have to talk about the attitude [of his players]. I think in the minds of the players that was a little bit of that thing of taking Swallows lightly, especially because of where they are on the log," Zondo said.
"We played too much in our half and we never looked like we wanted to hurt the opponent. In the first half we didn’t have even a single shot at goal.
"Swallows know that they have to fight with everything they have because they are not in a good position and today they fought.”
Meanwhile, Arrows are enduring a three-match winless run in the league having lost 2-0 to Orlando Pirates at home in their most recent game on 18 October.
Ababana Bes'thende find themselves on the eighth spot on the DStv Premiership standings - level on points with Royal AM coming into their encounter.
Vusumuzi Vilakazi, the Arrows co-head coach, identified the attack as his side's main problem and he promised to fix their scoring problem ahead of their clash with Thwihli Thwahla.
"I think we still need to have attention in terms of our attack, the strikers, whoever is playing as a striker, I think the link between him and the midfielders was a little bit less today," Vilakazi said.
"But I think we'll work on it going forward, a better second-half in terms of playing and stuff like that but it's not about playing, it's all about scoring goals, we were playing at home, we should have avoided losing the three points.
"But better luck next time for our team, I will encourage the boys, we still need to have the heads up and make sure that we win our next game when we face Royal AM."
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Royal AM
Mfundo Thikazi: The left-footed attacker has established himself as one of the most dangerous wingers in the DStv Premiership. Thikazi's mesmerising tricks and explosive speed will create problems for Arrows' defence.
Ruzaigh Gamilden: The experienced marksman scored a vital away goal as Thwihli Thwahla held Zambian giants ZESCO United to a draw in a recent CAF Confederation Cup clash and he could be the man to end Royal's winless run.
Golden Arrows
Nduduzo Sibiya: The technically gifted attacking midfielder will pose a threat to Royal from set-pieces and he also has dribbling skills that can cut open any opposing defence. Sibiya will be eager to inspire Abafana Bes'thende to a win.
Pule Mmodi: The Bafana Bafana international remains at the top of Arrows' scoring charts in the league this season with four goals and he will be looking to add to his tally when he faces Thwihli Thwahla.
