The Multichoice Diski Challenge (MDC) will be well-represented at the upcoming Cosafa Under-20 Championship in Zambia.

Fourteen of the 20 Amajita players selected for the Under-20 Cosafa Cup are MDC players, turning out for various clubs.

The youth regional tournament runs from 4-14 December.

Kaizer Chiefs have supplied Amajita with four of their MDC troops in striker Rahim Milazi‚ midfielders Tshepo Myeni and Keletso Sifama‚ alongside 16-year-old goalkeeper Bontle Molefe‚ who was promoted to the first-team squad earlier this year.

Third-placed Bidvest Wits have five of their charges in the Cosafa squad.

Defender Athenkosi Mcaba‚ who was previously part of Molefi Ntseki's under-17 team that competed at the 2018 Under-17 edition of the Cosafa Cup, headlines the Clever Boys' contingent alongside goalkeeper Prince Cuwen‚ midfielders Lancaster Human and Keagan Mitchell as well as striker Sinenjongo Mkiva.

SuperSport United, who are fourth on the MDC standings, have two players in the squad to do duty for South Africa in Zambia. They are skipper Oswin Appolis (versatile midfielder) and Bilal Baloyi (defender).

Talented AmaZulu shot-stopper Olwethu Mzimela and Maritzburg United's defender Sabelo Phakathi have also been called up for the Under-20 regional competition, where Amajita are defending champions.

MDC table-toppers Mamelodi Sundowns have a representative in the team as well in talented defender Siyanda Msani.

Under the tutelage of Helman Mkhalele, South Africa are in Group B alongside Lesotho, Madagascar and Mauritius.

Amajita's bid to defend their title start on 5 December against Mauritius, before trading blows with Madagascar.

South Africa's last pool encounter is against Lesotho on 10 December.
