GladAfrica Championship leaders Uthongathi FC will be aiming to extend their lead atop the league standings.

There will be a total of seven matches in South Africa's second division this weekend, with Ajax Cape Town and University of Pretoria the only two teams not in action.

The Premier Soccer League postponed several fixtures this month in support of the South African under-23 team who are pushing for a place at the 2020 Olympic Games in Japan, with the Urban Warriors the main club affected.

In their absence, Uthongathi FC will be aiming to pull further clear atop the league standings with the KwaZulu-Natal club currently six points ahead of second-placed JDR Stars and nine points ahead of Ajax Cape Town who have played a game less than the top two teams.

Uthongathi FC host 14th-placed TS Sporting at Princess Magogo Stadium, while Gauteng-based Stars, who won promotion from the ABC Motsepe League just a few months ago, welcome 13th placed Jomo Cosmos in Soshanguve.

In the only game on Sunday, bottom-placed Royal Eagles travel to Cape Town to take on Steenberg United with the away side having won just once this season.
