Baroka FC and Happy Wanderers both progressed to this season's Nedbank Cup Last 16 after recording wins in the Last 32 on Tuesday night.

Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele were away to their Limpopo rivals Polokwane City in a match which was played at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The two Premier Soccer League (PSL) teams were unable to get on the score sheet in the first half.

The deadlock was finally broken in the second half when Prince Nxumalo hit the back of the net from Gerald Phiri Jr's corner-kick to make it 1-0 to Baroka.

The 74th-minute winning goal saw Baroka reach the Last 16 where they will face lower division side Hungry Lions, while Polokwane are eliminated from the competition.

Meanwhile, Wanderers were away to Zizwe United in an encounter which was played at the Athlone Stadium.

It took 25 minutes for Wanderers to find the back of the net against fellow ABC Motsepe League side with Mxolisi Mazibuko scoring for the visitors.

Cape Town-based Zizwe pushed forward in numbers in search for the equalising goal, but they were frustrated by the Wanderers defence.

Ulmately, the match ended in a 1-0 win in favour of Wanderers, who will now face GladAfrica Championship side TS Sporting in the Last 16, while Zizwe are eliminated.
