Mamelodi Sundowns will seek to continue their dominance of Chippa United when the teams meet in an Absa Premiership clash at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.

The Brazilians have only lost twice before to Chippa in 19 previous meetings, while at home they have a near impeccable record with seven wins and a draw from eight matches.

And the fact that both of Chippa’s wins have come in cup matches means Sundowns are unbeaten against the Chilli Boyz in the Absa Premiership.

The only time Chippa have avoided defeat in Tshwane was a 0-0 draw in February 2017, but aside from that it has been a tale of woe for them.

They did run Pitso Mosimane’s men close on their previous visit in April last year, when Sundowns eventually triumphed 3-2.

Sundowns trail Absa Premiership leaders Kaizer Chiefs by 10 points, but do have a game in hand.
