After close to two weeks without domestic football due to the November international break, LaLiga football is back with matchday 10 as it commences on Friday night with a fixture between CA Osasuna v SD Huesca.

This is not the only game to look out for as there are plenty of games to keep everyone on the edge of their seats.

For matchday 10, these are the other games that are not to be missed; Villarreal CF v Real Madrid, FC Barcelona v Atlético de Madrid and Cádiz CF v Real Sociedad.

Scintillating fixtures all around Spain

The first game that will get matchday 10 underway will be between CD Osasuna v SD Huesca. The clash between both teams who are placed in the bottom half of the table means they equally need three points when they face each other on Friday evening.

SD Huesca’s Rafa Mir is a player to look out for as the 23-year-old aims to boost his goal tally in his 10th appearance this season.

REAL MADRID BACK IN ACTION

Moving on to one of Saturday’s top fixtures, Villarreal host Real Madrid in the afternoon. While the team from the Valencian community come into this game with four successive wins across all competitions, Los Blancos will look to use this game to regain their confidence, having lost 4-1 to Valencia just before the Fifa break.

It will be a tough task for Zidane’s men as they will be without key players. Those who will look to make an impact include Thibaut Courtois, Ferland Mendy and 20-year-old sensation, Vinícius Júnior.

The late game on Saturday may be the biggest match of the weekend - Atlético de Madrid v FC Barcelona at the Wanda Metropolitano at 22:00 CAT. Atleti are well-positioned in third spot on 17 points, meaning they are in contention for the title, although it’s still early days.

However, with the Blaugrana lagging in eighth and hungry for maximum points, this is a fixture with major title race consequences. Two players to look out for in this fixture are João Félix, who is in excellent form, and 17-year-old Spaniard Pedri, who Koeman can turn to in the absence of his top goal scorer Fati.

Sunday’s action will also see four games take place, with the face-off between Cádiz CF and league leaders Real Sociedad being the top game. These sides are both in the top half of the table, and are only separated by six points.

Quick fact about this game: Cádiz CF have not won a game at home since the start of the season and will be seeking their first home win.

The African contingent that made appearances for their countries

A good number of African LaLiga players made the long trip to their respective countries to represent their nations and they are now back in Spain to don their team colours in LaLiga Santander.

RC Celta’s Joseph Aidoo made an appearance for the Black Stars of Ghana in their 1-0 loss to Sudan. The defender will aim to pick up on his LaLiga performances against En-Nesyri’s Seville. The lanky forward was on the scoresheet in Morocco’s 2-0 win against CAR, this past Tuesday.

Nigerian attacker Samuel Chukwueze will be one of the key players in the exciting game between Villarreal and Real Madrid. The Villarreal forward comes into this match with a goal to his name when the Super Eagles drew 4-4 with Sierra Leone during their Afcon qualifier.
