CA Osasuna v SD Huesca

This will be the first LaLiga meeting between Osasuna and Huesca. The Navarre side have failed to win their last three games against them in all competitions, all of them in Liga Smartbank (D1 L2).

Osasuna have only won one of their last five home LaLiga games against newly-promoted sides (D1 L3), 2-1 vs Leganés in April 2017, keeping just one clean sheet in their last 12 such games at El Sadar in the competition.

Osasuna have lost their last two LaLiga games (vs Atlético de Madrid and Sevilla), last losing three on the bounce in the competition in February-March 2017 (6).

Huesca are winless in their last nine LaLiga games (D6 L3), losing their last two away from home by the same score-line (1-4). Only once previously have they lost three consecutive away matches in the competition (eight between September 2018-January 2019).

Huesca have only won one of their four LaLiga games played on a Friday (D1 L2), 4-0 vs Real Valladolid in February 2019, their biggest win in the top-flight.

Osasuna have won only one of their last seven LaLiga games played on a Friday, drawing four of them (L2). Their only victory during this period came in their last LaLiga game played on a Friday, beating Levante 2-0 in January 2020.

Huesca’s Dimitrios Siovas scored his first goal in LaLiga (four goals scored in total) in April 2017 against Osasuna at El Sadar, as Leganés player.

Rubén García has been involved in each of Osasuna’s last two LaLiga goals, both at home, one goal scored vs Athletic and one assist vs Atlético de Madrid.

Huesva’s David Ferreiro has created a league-high 26 chances this season and he scored his first goal away from home in the competition in his last away game, vs Real Madrid at Alfredo Di Stéfano.

This will be Osasuna boss Jagoba Arrasate’s first managerial game in LaLiga against Huesca. He is unbeaten in his three home games against them in Liga Smartbank (W2 D1) all of them as the Numancia manager.

Levante UD v Elche CF

Levante have only won two of their eight LaLiga games against Elche (D3 L3), with both wins coming at home (2-0 in April 1965 and 2-1 in December 2013).

Elche have only won one of their last 12 games against Levante in all competitions (D3 L8), with that victory coming at home - 1-0 at Martínez Valero in January 2015 in LaLiga.

Levante are unbeaten in their last 15 home games against Elche in all competitions (W8 D7) since a defeat 0-5 in April 1993 in the Segunda División B.

After winning 2-1 vs Valencia on MD7, Elche could win back-to-back LaLiga games against sides from Comunidad Valencia for the first time since December 1973.

Levante have failed to win their last six LaLiga games (D3 L3), drawing the last three all by the same score-line (1-1). They could become the first side to draw 1-1 in four or more LaLiga games in a row since Real Zaragoza in April 1996 (5).

Elche have only lost one of their last four away LaLiga games (W2 D1), keeping a clean sheet in three of them.

Levante UD’s José Luis Morales has scored four goals in eight LaLiga games this season, as many as he netted in the entirety of 2019-20 (38 appearances).

Fidel Chaves has been involved in four of the seven goals Elche have scored in LaLiga this season (two goals and two assists).

In the last matchday, Enir Bardhi became the first foreign player to reach 100 appearances for Levante in LaLiga (19 goals, six direct free-kick goals). He has failed to score with his last 28 free-kicks in the competition.

Elche forward Nino has scored three goals in five LaLiga games against Levante, all of them as Osasuna player between 2011 and 2012 – against no side has he scored more in the competition.

Villarreal CF v Real Madrid

Villarreal have only won one of their last 10 home LaLiga games against Real Madrid (D5 L4), 1-0 in December 2015, drawing the last three at La Cerámica.

Real Madrid have drawn their last three away LaLiga games against Villarreal but they did win their last game at La Cerámica (2-0 vs Levante last October). The White side could win two away games at the same venue in a single LaLiga season for the first time in the 21st Century.

After winning at Alfredo Di Stéfano in July 2020 (2-1), Real Madrid could win two consecutive LaLiga games against Villarreal for the first time since September 2014 (two).

Villarreal are unbeaten in their last six LaLiga games (W4 D2), keeping a clean sheet in three of them. The last time they avoided defeat in more consecutive games in the competition was in October 2016 (P9 W5 D4 on that occasion).

Real Madrid have lost two of their last four LaLiga games (W2), as many defeats as in their previous 33 games in the competition (W24 D7 L2).

In the last matchday, Real Madrid became the third LaLiga team to concede three penalties in a single LaLiga game (since 2006-07) after Sporting de Gijón vs FC Barcelona in 2016 and Getafe vs Sevilla in 2015.

Villarreal forward Paco Alcácer, has been involved in seven goals in his last eight LaLiga games (five goals and two assists), scoring and assisting in his last game in the competition for the first time as Villarreal player.

Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema has scored at least one goal in each of his last four games in all competitions (five goals in total), last scoring in five consecutive matches between March-April 2019 (5).

Following his goal against Getafe in the last LaLiga game, Gerard Moreno (37 goals) surpassed Juan Román Riquelme (36), becoming the fifth highest goalscorer for Villarreal in LaLiga history.

Villarreal boss Unai Emery has lost his three managerial games against Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane in all competitions (0-4 for Sevilla in LaLiga in 2016 and 1-3 and 1-2 for PSG in Champions League in 2018).

Sevilla FC v RC Celta de Vigo

Sevilla are winless in their last three LaLiga games against Celta de Vigo (D1 L2), after winning four of the previous five (L1).

Sevilla have scored 98 goals in 48 LaLiga home games against Celta de Vigo. Only against three side have the Andalusian team scored 100+ LaLiga goals at home in fewer matches: Valencia (42), Espanyol (45) and Real Zaragoza (47).

Celta de Vigo have won six LaLiga games at Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán since the year 2000, at no way ground have they won more matches during this period (alongside Ciutat de València).

After winning 1-0 vs Osasuna in the last LaLiga game, Sevilla could win back-to-back LaLiga games without conceding for the first time since July 2020 (two).

Celta de Vigo have only won one of their last 16 LaLiga games (D8 L7), 2-1 vs Valencia on MD2, and none of the last seven (D3 L4).

Sevilla have scored each of their last 10 penalty shots in LaLiga, including the six taken by Lucas Ocampos. The last Sevilla player to miss a penalty in the competition was Quincy Promes against Levante in January 2019.

Celta de Vigo have been trailing for a league-high 337 minutes in LaLiga this season whilst only Atlético de Madrid (0) and Real Sociedad (36) have been behind for fewer minutes than Sevilla (78).

Celta de Vigo’s Iago Aspas has scored five goals in his last six LaLiga games against Sevilla, however only one of those has come at Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.

Julen Lopetegui has failed to win either of his two LaLiga games against Celta de Vigo as Sevilla manager (D1 L1), whilst only against Barcelona (W0 D2 L1) has he managed more games for the Andalusian side without ever winning in the competition.

Eduardo Coudet will manage his first LaLiga game for Celta de Vigo. None of the previous five Celta de Vigo bosses won their first LaLiga game in charge of the club (D1 L4), since Eduardo Berizzo in August 2014 (3-1 vs Getafe).

Club Atlético de Madrid v FC Barcelona

Atlético de Madrid have failed to win in their last 20 LaLiga games against Barcelona (D6 L14); only against one opponent have they suffered a longer such run in the competition (23 games against Real Madrid between 2000 and 2013).

Atlético de Madrid are winless in their last 10 home LaLiga games against Barcelona (D3 L7), failing to score more than once in any of those games. The last time Atlético scored two goals in a single LaLiga game against Barcelona was in their last win against them at home (2-1 in February 2010).

Barcelona could become the first side to win two LaLiga games against Atlético de Madrid at Wanda Metropolitano. The Blaugrana side are unbeaten in their three LaLiga games played at this ground (W1 D2).

Atlético de Madrid are unbeaten in their last 23 LaLiga games (W14 D9), their longest ever run without defeat in the competition and the longest current such run across the top five European leagues.

Barcelona have only won one of their last five LaLiga games (D2 L2), 5-2 against Real Betis in the last matchday, after winning six of their previous seven in the competition (L1).

Atlético de Madrid have scored 17 goals and conceded just two in seven LaLiga games this season, their best goal difference tally at this stage in the top-flight since the 1995-96 campaign (+15 – GS17 GC2), winning the double that season (LaLiga and Copa del Rey).

Barcelona’s Lionel Messi has scored 12 goals in 17 LaLiga appearances against Atlético de Madrid under Diego Pablo Simeone, more than any other player, whilst he is also the player to have scored the most LaLiga goals against Jan Oblak (eight goals in 11 games).

Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann has scored against 32 of the 33 teams he has faced in LaLiga, failing only vs Atlético de Madrid. He has played 10 LaLiga games against his former team, failing to score in all of them – two as a Barcelona player.

Atlético de Madrid forward Luis Suárez has scored against all of the 29 teams he has faced in LaLiga. The Uruguayan could become the sixth player to score for both teams in this fixture in the competition after Marcial, Jesús Landaburu, Marcos Alonso, Bernd Schuster and Luis García.

Atlético de Madrid boss Diego Simeone has failed to win in his 17 managerial LaLiga games against Barcelona (D6 L11). He is winless against two opponents in the competition: Barcelona and Racing de Santander (D1).

SD Eibar v Getafe CF

Having gone unbeaten in their first five LaLiga games against Getafe (W2 D3), Eibar have lost three of their five matches against them in the competition since (D2).

Getafe are unbeaten in their last three away LaLiga games at Ipurua (W2 D1), after losing their previous two there, both in 2015.

Getafe have only lost one of their last six away LaLiga games against Basque sides (W3 D2 - keeping a clean sheet in four of them), losing their last such fixture 0-3 vs Real Sociedad last October).

Eibar are winless in their last five home LaLiga games (D2 L3), failing to score in four of them – they have never gone six consecutive matches without a victory at Ipurua in the top-flight.

Getafe are winless in their last nine away LaLiga games (D5 L4), failing to score in six of them, after winning four of their previous six (L2). This is their longest run without an away victory in LaLiga since September 2017-March 2018 (11 – D4 L6).

Eibar have attempted a league-high 227 crosses in LaLiga this season whilst Getafe rank third for this metric (203).

Getafe are the only LaLiga side that are yet to take the lead in an away game this season.

Only Burnley (0) have scored fewer goals at home across the top five European leagues this season than Eibar (one, alongside Sheffield United), with Kike García scoring their only such goal in September against Athletic.

Getafe’s Ángel Rodríguez has been involved in three goals in his last four LaLiga games against Eibar (two goals and one assist).

Having avoided defeat in his first five home LaLiga games against Getafe (W3 D2) - two for Real Valladolid, two for Osasuna and one for his current team - Eibar boss José Luis Mendilíbar has failed to win his last three managerial LaLiga home games against them (D1 L2).

Cádiz CF v Real Sociedad

Cádiz have only won one of their last eight LaLiga games against Real Sociedad (D4 L3), 2-1 in April 1993 under Ramón Blanco.

Cádiz have played 12 LaLiga home games against Real Sociedad without a defeat (W6 D6), more than against any other opponent.

Real Sociedad have collected 20 points after their opening nine LaLiga games in 2020/21 - only twice previously have they had 20+ points at this stage of a campaign: 20 in the 1981-82 when they were crowned champions, and 21 in the 2002-03 (finishing second).

Cádiz have only won one of their last 10 home LaLiga games, 5-0 in May 2006 vs Málaga, but they have drawn seven of them (L2).

Real Sociedad have won their last five LaLiga games, last winning six on the bounce in the competition back in January 1988 (one win in that run came against Cádiz).

Cádiz and Real Sociedad (alongside Atlético de Madrid) have kept the most clean sheets in LaLiga this season (five each).

Cádiz have scored their last three LaLiga goals in the first half of games, with Álvaro Negredo being involved in all three (one goal and two assists).

Real Sociedad’s Mikel Oyarzábal is the top scorer in LaLiga so far this season (6), scoring in each of his last five games in the competition (six goals, and a further two assists).

Real Sociedad have scored a league-high three goals from outside the box this season, with each being scored by a different player: Alexander Isak, Cristian Portugués “Portu” and Roberto López.

Real Sociedad’s Mikel Merino has conceded a league-high 25 fouls this season and is the only player to have committed seven or more fouls in two separate matches this campaign (vs Getafe and Real Betis).

Granada CF v Real Valladolid

Granada are unbeaten in their last five LaLiga games against Real Valladolid (W3 D2), after losing their previous three against them in the competition without scoring a single goal.

At home, Granada have only lost one of their six LaLiga games against Real Valladolid, 0-1 in March 1961 (W4 D1), winning the last two against them at Los Cármenes in the top-flight.

Real Valladolid have only won two of their last 13 away LaLiga games against Andalusian sides (D4 L7), both vs Real Betis, in October 2018 and August 2019.

Granada are unbeaten in their last five home LaLiga games (W4 D1), last going six on the bounce without defeat on home soil in April 2016 (W3 D3).

Real Valladolid won their last LaLiga game, 2-1 vs Athletic, after failing to win their previous eight games in the competition (D3 L5). They last won back-to-back matches in the competition in May 2019 (2).

Real Valladolid alongside Levante are the only LaLiga sides still yet to keep their first clean sheet in the competition this campaign.

Real Valladolid have lost seven points thanks to goals conceded in the second half of LaLiga matches this season, more than any other side, whilst only Real Madrid (7) have collected more points thanks to goals scored during this period than Granada (six, alongside Sevilla).

Darwin Machis has been involved in three of Granada’s last four goals at Los Cármenes in LaLiga (two goals and one assist).

Real Valladolid’s Toni Vila is one of only three players to have won two penalties in LaLiga this season, alongside Barcelona’s Ansu Fati and Valencia’s Maxi Gómez.

Deportivo Alavés v Valencia CF

Alavés have only won two of their last 14 LaLiga games against Valencia (D3 L9), with both victories coming on home soil (2-1 in February 2017 and in January 2019).

Alavés have won two of their last four LaLiga games against Valencia at Mendizorrotza (D1 L1), as many wins as in their previous 10 home meetings with them in the competition (W2 D4 L4).

Alavés won 7-0 vs Valencia in March 1955, their biggest ever LaLiga victory at home.

Valencia won 1-0 away from home in their most recent away LaLiga game against a Basque side (vs Real Sociedad last September), having failed to win their previous three matches against such opposition on the road in the competition (D1 L2).

Alavés are unbeaten in their last three LaLiga games (W1 D2), last going four without defeat in the competition in August 2019 (4, W2 D2).

Valencia have only won one of their last 15 away LaLiga games (D3 L11), 1-0 vs Real Sociedad last September.

Only Villarreal’s Paco Alcácer (9) has been substituted off on more occasions in LaLiga this season than Alavés’ Edgar Méndez (in eight of his nine appearances this campaign in the competition).

Valencia’s Kevin Gameiro has scored in two of his last three LaLiga appearances against Alavés (two goals in total), including one as an Atlético de Madrid player.

Alavés’s Lucas Pérez has scored five goals against Valencia in LaLiga, more than against any other opponent in the competition.

Alavés boss Pablo Machín remains winless against Valencia in LaLiga (P4 D1 L3), losing his two home managerial fixtures against them (one for Girona and another for Espanyol).

Athletic Club v Real Betis

Athletic have only lost one of their last seven LaLiga games against Real Betis (W5 D1), with that defeat coming away from home, 2-3 at Benito Villamarin in December 2019.

At home, Athletic have won their last six LaLiga games against Real Betis, keeping a clean sheet in the last three, their longest winning run against them at home in the competition.

Athletic have lost two of their last three home LaLiga games against Andalusian sides (W1), vs Sevilla and Cádiz, as many defeats as in their previous 28 games at home against these sides in the competition (W22 D4 L2).

Real Betis have only won one of their last 10 away LaLiga games against Basque sides (D3 L6), winning the most recent one (1-0 vs Alavés in September) – they last won back-to-back away matches against such opposition in December 2003 (vs Alavés and Real Sociedad).

Athletic have faced a league-low 2.13 shots on target per game on average this season, less than any other side in the top five European leagues.

Real Betis have conceded the first goal of the game on more occasions than any other LaLiga team this season, losing all of them (5/5).

Real Betis’s Sergio Canales has provided a league-high, four assists this season (alongside Atlético de Madrid’s Ángel Correa), and only in two of his previous 13 seasons in the competition has he provided more assists (five in the 2017/18 and six in the 2019-20).

Athletic’s Iñaki Williams has scored four goals against Real Betis in LaLiga, more than against any other opponent (alongside vs Atlético de Madrid and Real Sociedad) but none at San Mamés.

Iker Muniain has scored three of the last five Athletic goals at home against Real Betis. The Navarre player has scored in three of his last four games at San Mamés against the green and white side (three goals on aggregate).

After six consecutive wins against Athletic in LaLiga between 2007 and 2009 (all of them as Villarreal manager), Real Betis boss Manuel Pellegrini has only won one of his last eight games against the Basque side in the competition (W3 D3 L2).
