What numbers say ahead of LaLiga matchday 11

Real Valladolid – Levante UD

Real Valladolid have won only one of their last seven games against Levante in LaLiga (D3 L3) after winning the previous three against Granotas in the competition, failing to score in their last three – their longest run without a goal against Levante.

After losing their first home match in LaLiga against Levante, 1-2 in March 1964, Real Valladolid have remained unbeaten against Granotas on home soil in the competition since (W3 D2).

Real Valladolid have won only one of their last five home games in LaLiga (D2 L2), but that win came in their last such match at Zorrilla, 2-1 against Athletic Club.

Levante are winless in their last three away matches in LaLiga (D1 L2), their second longest run without an away victory in 2020.

Levante have lost only one of their last six LaLiga games played on a Friday (W2 D3), 2-0 against Osasuna in January 2020, while Valladolid haven’t won any of their last 14 on a Friday (D10 L4), since beating Rayo Vallecano in October 2013 (0-3).

Levante have lost seven points after scoring the first goal of the game in LaLiga this season, more than any other team.

Levante’s Gonzalo Melero has scored two goals in nine games in LaLiga 2020/21, equalling his record in the previous full season with Granotas (two goals in 25 appearances) and in 2018/19 with Huesca (two goals in 22 games).

Marcos de Sousa has scored in his last two LaLiga games for Real Valladolid - only one Brazilian player has scored in three or more consecutive games with Pucelanos in the top-flight: Rodrigo Fabri in 1999 (a run of four).

Real Valladolid’s Fabián Orellana has been involved in six goals in his last six games against Levante in LaLiga (three goals and three assists).

Real Valladolid coach Sergio González has faced Levante four times at home in LaLiga without losing any of these clashes (W2 D2). Against no team has managed five home games without losing in the competition (also four against Celta de Vigo, Real Sociedad and Getafe).?

Elche CF – Cádiz CF

Elche are winless against Cádiz in LaLiga although three of those meetings have ended level (L1).

At home, Elche have lost only one of their last 11 matches against Cádiz in all competitions (W3 D7), 2-3 in Liga Smartbank in January 2017.

Elche have not lost any of their last three matches at Martínez Valero in LaLiga (W1 D2), their best streak at home in the competition since January-August 2014 11 (11 games - W4 D7).

After four consecutive wins away from home in LaLiga, Cádiz lost in their last away outing, 4-0 against Atlético de Madrid, ending their longest ever away winning run in the competition.

Elche have won only two of their last 14 home matches in LaLiga against Andalusian teams (D6 L6), both 1-0 and against Almería in February 2014 and March 2015.

Elche have fired the fewest shots in LaLiga this season (45) and the fewest on target (17), however they are also the side with the highest conversion rate in the division (17.8%).

Cádiz (30.9%) are the side that average lowest percentage of possession across the top five European leagues this season.

Cádiz’s Alberto Perea scored his only goal in LaLiga in August 2013 as a Rayo Vallecano player, against Elche.

Fidel Chaves has scored in his last two home games in LaLiga (two goals in total) and could become the second Elche player to score in three consecutive home appearances in the competition in the 21st century after Jonathas between April and May 2015 (four goals).

Cádiz coach Álvaro Cervera is winless in his last three meetings against Elche in all competitions (D2 L1), after winning the previous five against them.

Valencia CF – Atlético de Madrid

Valencia have failed to win any of their last 11 LaLiga games against Atlético de Madrid (D5 L6), since a 3-1 win in October 2014 - their longest current winless run against an opponent in the top-flight.

At home, Valencia are winless in their last five LaLiga games against Atlético de Madrid (D3 L2), and could equal their longest run without a win at home against them in the competition: six between January 1973 and January 1978 (D2 L4).

Valencia have only lost one of their last seven LaLiga games at Mestalla (W4 D2), the only one in this run that they failed to score in, 0-2 v Real Betis in October.

Atlético de Madrid are unbeaten in their last 11 away LaLiga games (W5 D6), their longest run without a defeat in the competition since 2017 (GP20 W12 D8).

Atlético de Madrid are the only LaLiga side this season that have failed to collect a single point courtesy of a goal scored in the second half.

Atlético de Madrid are the only LaLiga side that haven’t trailed for a single minute this season while Valencia have been behind for a total of 361 minutes - more than any other side in the division.

Atlético de Madrid’s Ángel Correa has scored in three of his last four LaLiga games against Valencia – only against Granada (4) has he scored more goals in the competition than he has v the Valencian side (3).

Carlos Soler has scored four of Valencia’s last five goals at home in LaLiga, with all of them coming from the penalty spot. The only Valencia player to score more penalty goals at Mestalla in a single LaLiga season in the 21st Century was David Villa (seven in the 2008/09).

Valencia boss Javi Gracia is unbeaten in his three home LaLiga managerial games against Atlético de Madrid (W2 D1), one for Osasuna and two for Málaga.

Atlético de Madrid boss Diego Simeone has only lost two of their 21 managerial games against Valencia in all competitions (W11 D8), with both defeats coming in LaLiga and at the Mestalla (0-2 in November 2012 and 1-3 in October 2014).

SD Huesca – Sevilla FC

In the previous two LaLiga meetings between Huesca and Sevilla (both in the 2018/19 season), the home side won on both occasions, 2-1 for Sevilla in October 2018 at Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán and 2-1 for Huesca in March 2019 at El Alcoraz.

Huesca have conceded at least one goal in each of their five games against Andalusian sides in LaLiga (W2 D3) failing to score themselves in just one of those matches, the last one v Cádiz (0-2 in September).

Huesca are looking for their first home LaLiga win this season (D3 L1, drawing the last three, their longest ever run of consecutive draws at El Alcoraz in the competition.

Sevilla have lost their last two away LaLiga games, (vs Granada and Athletic Club), last losing three on the bounce on the road in the competition between January-March 2019 (5).

Sevilla have collected a league-high eight points in LaLiga thanks to goals scored in the second half of matches this season.

Only Lorient (170) and Dijon (168) have committed more fouls across the Top 5 European Leagues this season than Huesca (164, alongside Getafe).

Huesca’s Sandro Ramírez has been involved in three goals against Sevilla in LaLiga (two goals and one assist), against no side has he been involved in more in the competition (also three against Villarreal).

In the last 12 months, no player has provided more assists in LaLiga without scoring than Sevilla’s Jesús Navas (seven, alongside Levante’s José Campaña).

Rafa Mir has scored two of Huesca’s last three home goals in LaLiga, one against Real Valladolid and another against Eibar.

Real Madrid have won 12 of their last 13 matches against Alavés in LaLiga, losing the other 1-0 at Mendizorrotza in October 2018.

At home, Real Madrid have played 15 games against Alavés in LaLiga, winning 14 of them and keeping a clean sheet in the last five. Their only loss came in May 2000 (0-1).

Real Madrid have lost only one of their 31 games against Basque teams in LaLiga with Zinedine Zidane as coach (W25 D5), with that defeat coming at Real Sociedad in May 2019.

Since the start of 2019/20, Real Madrid have lost only one of 22 games they have played at home in LaLiga (W17 D4), 0-1 against Cádiz on October.

Alavés remain unbeaten in their last two away games in LaLiga (W1 D1) and haven’t played three or more consecutive matches without a defeat on the road in the competition since February-March 2019 (3).

Real Madrid have conceded 10 goals after their first nine games in LaLiga 2020/21, their joint-highest number of goals conceded at this stage across the last 12 seasons (10 also in 2014/15).

Alavés’s Lucas Pérez has scored in his last two LaLiga games (two goals in total), after failing to score in his previous 15 in the competition.

Alavés coach Pablo Machín has lost his three visits to Real Madrid in LaLiga, one with Girona, another one with Sevilla and another one with Espanyol, without his sides scoring in the last two (for Sevilla and Espanyol).

FC Barcelona – CA Osasuna

Barcelona have won none of their last two meetings against Osasuna in LaLiga (D1 L1), after winning the previous three while scoring 17 goals in total (and conceding only one).

Barcelona lost their last home game against Osasuna in LaLiga, 1-2 in July. Only once in their history have they lost two consecutive games against Osasuna at home in the competition - in January 1988 and February 1989.

Osasuna have conceded 112 away goals against Barcelona in their LaLiga history, more than against any other side in the competition (an average of 2.9 goals conceded per game).

Barcelona have lost two of their last five home games in LaLiga (W2 D1), as many defeats as in their previous 77 games at Camp Nou in the competition (W64 D11).

Osasuna have failed to win any of their last three away games in LaLiga (D1 L2), failing to score in each match. They haven’t played four away games without scoring in the competition since March 2014 (4).

Barcelona have earned only 11 points after their first eight games in LaLiga in 2020/21, their worst record at this stage since 1991/92 (11 points applying three points per win). They finished that season as champions.

Barcelona’s Lionel Messi has scored 22 goals in 18 LaLiga games against Osasuna and has scored at least one goal in his last six league games against them at Camp Nou (14 goals in total in this streak).

Lionel Messi has scored only one of his last 40 direct free-kicks for Barcelona in LaLiga, with this coming against Osasuna in July 2020.

Osasuna's Roberto Torres has scored in each of his last three LaLiga clashes against Barcelona (four goals) and may become the first player to score in four straight games against Barça since Rubén Castro in December 2012 (five goals).

After losing in his first meeting against Barcelona in LaLiga, 1-4 at Camp Nou with Real Sociedad in September 2013, Osasuna coach Jagoba Arrasate is unbeaten in three games against them in the competition (W2 D1).

Getafe CF – Athletic Club

After losing six games in a row against Athletic in LaLiga between October 2013 and January 2016, Getafe are unbeaten in their last six games against them in the competition (W2 D4).

Athletic have only lost one of their last six away LaLiga games against Getafe (W3 D2), 0-1 in April 2019 in what was the first meeting in the competition between Getafe boss José Bordalás and Athletic manager Gaizka Garitano.

Getafe are unbeaten in their last 13 LaLiga games against Basque sides at Coliseum (W7 D6), their longest run at home against them, since a defeat 0-1 v Athletic in January 2016.

Athletic have failed to win in their last eight LaLiga games against Madrilean sides (D4 L4), failing to score in five of their last six.

After winning their first three home LaLiga games without conceding a goal this season, Getafe have lost their last two league games at Coliseum. They last lost three or more games in a row at home in the competition in February 2016 (3).

Athletic have lost their last three away LaLiga games, last losing four or more in a row away from home in the competition in March 2018 (4).

Athletic’s 4-0 v Real Betis last time out was their win in LaLiga under Gaizka Garitano, last winning by such a margin in April 2017 v Las Palmas under Ernesto Valverde (5-1).

Getafe’s Jaime Mata has scored in three of his four LaLiga games against Athletic.

Athletic’s Raúl García has scored in two of his last three LaLiga games at Coliseum. The Navarre player has failed to score in his last 11 LaLiga games, his second longest run without scoring in the competition for the Basque side (13 between September and December 2018).

Athletic boss Gaizka Garitano has only won one of his last seven managerial games against Getafe in all competitions, five in LaLiga and two in Copa del Rey (D2 L4), a win 2-1 in LaLiga for Eibar in January 2015.

RC Celta de Vigo – Granada CF

Celta de Vigo have not won any of their last two matches against Granada in LaLiga (D1 L1), failing to score in both, after having won their previous four against them in the competition.

Celta de Vigo have lost two of their last four LaLiga home games against Andalusian teams (W1 D1), as many defeats as in their previous 15 against them at Balaídos in the top-flight (W9 D4 L2).

Granada have lost just two of their last 11 away games in LaLiga (W5 D4) but one of those defeats was in their last away game, 0-2 against Real Sociedad. They could lose two consecutive away games in the competition for the first time since February (8).

Celta de Vigo have lost their last three home games in LaLiga, last losing four in a row at Balaídos in the top-flight in May 2017 (4).

No team has conceded the first goal of the game more times than Celta de Vigo in LaLiga this season (seven, level with Valencia), failing to win any of those seven matches (D2 L5).

Among all players with at least four yellow cards received in LaLiga this season, Germán Sánchez has conceded the fewest fouls (seven). The Granada player receives a yellow card every 1.75 fouls conceded in 2020/21.

Granada player Dimitri Foulquier has provided two assists in total in his last three LaLiga games, as many as in his previous 48 games in the competition.

Iago Aspas has scored Celta de Vigo’s last four goals at Balaídos in LaLiga, including all three this season. Since the start of 2020, he has scored 42% of his team's goals at home in LaLiga (8/19).

Celta de Vigo’s Iago Aspas, was involved in eight goals in his first five games against Granada in LaLiga (six goals and two assists), scoring in each game, but he has failed to score or assist in his last two games against them in the competition.

Eduardo Coudet lost his first LaLiga game as Celta de Vigo coach last time out, 4-2 against Sevilla. Only one of the club’s previous four managers has lost his first two games in the competition (Fran Escribá).

Real Sociedad – Villarreal CF

Real Sociedad have won three of their last six LaLiga games against Villarreal (L3), after failing to win in their previous 11 against them in the competition (D4 L7).

Only against Real Madrid (10) have Real Sociedad lost more home games in LaLiga since the start of 2000 (P19 W5 D4 L10) than against Villarreal (P16 W3 D4 L9).

Villarreal have only lost three of their last 12 matches against Basque teams in LaLiga (W8 D1), after losing six of their previous nine against them in the competition (W1 D2).

Real Sociedad have won their last six LaLiga games and could register their best consecutive winning streak in their history in the top-flight (seven consecutive wins).

With their victory in their last LaLiga trip, 3-1 against Getafe, Villarreal ended a streak of four games without an away win (D2 L2). They could win two away games in a row for the first time under Unai Emery.

With 23 points after their first 10 matches in LaLiga in 2020/21, Real Sociedad have equalled their best total at this stage of the competition in the top-flight (counting three points per win, also 23 in 1981/82 when they were champion).

Mikel Oyarzabal is LaLiga;s top-scorer in 2020/21 (six goals) and has been involved in five of Real Sociedad's nine goals at Reale Arena this season (four goals and one assist).

Real Sociedad’s Willian José has scored five goals in his last six games against Villarreal in LaLiga, scoring one goal in two of his three games against the Yellows at Reale Arena in the competition (two goals).

Villarreal’s Gerard Moreno has scored three goals in his last four games against Real Sociedad in LaLiga, one goal as an Espanyol player and two with his current team.

Villarreal coach Unai Emery has lost his last three games against Real Sociedad in LaLiga, all three while in charge of Sevilla - as many defeats as he had in his previous eight games against them in the competition (W4 D1 L3).

Real Betis – SD Eibar

Real Betis are winless in their last four LaLiga games against Eibar (D3 L1), their worst streak without a victory against them in the top-flight.

After losing their first game at Benito Villamarín in LaLiga to Eibar, 0-4 in January 2016, Real Betis are unbeaten in their last four matches at home against them in the competition (W2 D2).

Eibar’s 0-4 win against Real Betis in January 2016 is their biggest away win in LaLiga, along with another 0-4 against Valencia in February 2017.

Eibar have only lost on one of their last six visits to Andalusian teams in LaLiga (W2 D3), winning the last one 1-0 against Sevilla last October.

With their victory in their last home game in LaLiga, 3-1 v Elche, Real Betis ended a run of consecutive defeats - they could win back-to-back games at Benito Villamarín in the competition for the first time since December 2019 (2).

Eibar have not lost any of their last three away LaLiga games (W2 D1) and could register their best unbeaten run away from home since May 2018 (P4 W2 D2 L0).

Real Betis have conceded 21 goals in 10 LaLiga games this season, their worst defensive record at this stage in the competition since 1965/66 (26 goals), a season in which they were relegated.
