Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will headline the Telkom Knockout quarterfinals after the Soweto giants were drawn together on Tuesday night.

The eagerly-anticipated derby will see one of the giants of South African football extend their long wait for silverware, with both having endured long barren spells without success.

Pirates have largely dominated the Soweto Derby in recent years and will be eager to maintain that against a Chiefs side who have made a solid start to the 2019/20 Premier Soccer League season.

Recently-crowned MTN8 champions SuperSport United have been drawn at home to Lamontville Golden Arrows in another of the quarterfinal matches.

Mamelodi Sundowns must travel to Chippa United and Maritzburg United will host Highlands Park to round out the draw.

The exact dates, times and venues for the matches will be announced by the Premier Soccer League in due course.

QUARTERFINALS DRAW:

SuperSport Utd v Golden Arrows

Kaizer Chiefs v Orlando Pirates

Chippa Utd v Mamelodi Sundowns

Maritzburg United v Highlands Park
