Mubanga Kampamba scored a brace of goals as Zesco United eased to a 2-0 victory over Kabwe Warriors in their Zambia Super League clash on Saturday.

Both goals were scored in the second half as Warriors put up a stout defensive effort in the opening period, but could not contain the in-form Kampamba after the break.

It means back-to-back wins for Zesco after they had a difficult start to the campaign, with the side now up to sixth in the table.

Green Eagles moved to the top with a 1-0 home win over newly-promoted Kitwe United, who remain winless after four games in what has been a tough start to life in the elite league.

The winning goal came with 16 minutes remaining and was scored by Anos Tembo.

Power Dynamos inflicted a first defeat of the season on 10-man Red Arrows as they won 1-0 away from home, leaving both sides on seven points from their first four games of the campaign.

Lameck Kafwaya netted five minutes into the second half before Paul Katema received his marching orders for a second bookable offence just past the hour-mark.

Lusaka Dynamos had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Ocean Mushure giving them the lead 13 minutes from time, but Dominic Chungwa equalized shortly afterwards to give the visitors a share of the spoils.

Nkwazi and Green Buffaloes played to a 0-0 draw with both perhaps left disappointed they could not find a winner.

In the early kick-off, newly-promoted Indeni grabbed a first win in the top-flight as they beat fellow new boys Prison Leopards 1-0.

There is also one game on Sunday as champions Nkana FC will want a quick response to their 5-0 midweek defeat when they host Zanaco at 15h00.
