Zanaco can regain top spot in the Zambian Super League when they travel to Ndola to meet Indeni on Saturday.

Zesco United moved above Zanaco with a midweek win over Power Dynamos, but are not in action this weekend with their game against NAPSA Stars postponed.

Zanaco are unbeaten in their last five games, but a couple of away draws in that run have allowed the chasing pack to close in.

They have just a single away win in nine this season (vs Kabwe Warriors on January 8) and will have to improve that record if they are to be in the championship mix come the end of the season.

Indeni are winless in their last nine games, drawing six of their last seven matches, which has seen them slip towards the relegation zone. But all three of their victories this campaign have come at home.

Prison Leopards can also close in on the leaders when they host winless bottom side Kitwe United.

Leopards have seen their form dip of late with three points taken from the last 12 available (thanks to three draws), but will fancy their chances against a Kitwe side that have not won any of their 17 matches (D8 L9) this campaign.

Sixth-placed Kabwe Warriors will travel to Green Eagles, who are unbeaten at home (W4 D5) but have largely disappointed as they sit in mid-table. They will overtake their visitors with a win though.

Warriors have been on a good run with three wins and two draws in their last five games, and have been good away from home with only two defeats in nine (W4 D3).

Red Arrows host Green Buffaloes in a battle between two sides who might have hoped to be further up the table, but instead sit just above the relegation zone.

Arrows have largely had the better of the league meetings, in 31 previous Super League games they lead the head-to-head 12-6 with 13 draws. Buffaloes’ last win came in 2017.

The last game on Saturday sees Nkwazi host Lumwana Radiants, who have not won any of their last six games (D4 L2), and not won on any of their last four visits to Nkwazi.

There are also two games on Sunday, including fourth-placed Lusaka Dynamos against Buildcon. The home side will be favourites, though they have won just one of their six previous meetings with the visitors.

Finally, struggling Young Green Eagles host Power Dynamos at the Nkoloma Stadium, having claimed a respectable seven points from the last 12 available. They will hope to have turned the corner this season. Dynamos won the corresponding fixture in November 1-0.
