Magesi will be kicking themselves after they squandered the lead to lose 3-1 to Marumo Gallants at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium om Bloemfontein on Saturday.

Back-to-back wins for Dan Malesela's side took them four points clear of the relegation zone in 10th place, leaving their fellow Betway Premiership newcomers winless in their last five matches.

Gallants were looking to build on their narrow 1-0 win over SuperSport United last time out which lifted them off the foot of the table, while Dikwena tsa Meetse aimed to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat to Chippa United - their third loss of the season.

The visitors managed to keep Bahlabane Ba Ntwa at bay in the first half and gave themselves a morale-booster just before the break when Tshepo Kakora opened the scoring on 40 minutes.

Malesela immediately went to his bench and brought on Gabadinho Mhango and Kamohelo Mahlatsi, with Thapelo Dhludhlu and Siyabulela Shai making way.

The changes lifted the hosts and they hit back seven minutes into the second half as Xola Mlambo equalised after being set up by Sekela Sithole, who turned provider once more on 68 minutes for Phathutshedzo Nange to give them the lead.

Mahlatsi would eventually make an impact when he completed the comeback win in the 93rd minute to open his account for his new club, having made the switch from Chippa in September.
