Richards Bay will have to go up against a resurgent AmaZulu side when the two KZN teams lock horns in a derby set to be played at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the Betway Premiership.

Kick-off is at 15:30 CAT (SA, GMT+2)

CURRENT FORM

Richards Bay are winless in their last three league matches and will be looking for a victory in the clash against their fellow KZN counterparts.

The Natal Rich Boyz have lost all three of their previous Betway Premiership matches to Sekhukhune United, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs respectively.

As for AmaZulu, the team started off poorly in the league and lost all of their matches until recently, where they picked up their first victory against Chippa United.

With both teams currently languishing at the bottom of the table, they will be desperate to hit a change in form and begin to climb up the log.

WHAT WAS SAID

Brandon Truter has parted ways with the Natal Rich Boyz following their disappointing run of form according to a report from SABC Sport.

“We did not fire the coach, however for our sanity it was best that we go our separate ways with our integrity intact. The coach did not meet the performance requirements for the season,” Richards Bay FC chairman Jomo Biyela explained.

It will make for an interesting clash, as current AmaZulu co-coach Vusimuzi Vilakazi will be going up against his former employers and will be hungry to secure all three points.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Thabiso Kutumela, Richards Bay - The striker is yet to register a goal for the Natal Rich Boyz since joining in the transfer window before the season started, but perhaps his fifth appearance for the club in the Betway Premiership will be the charm.

Richard Ofori, AmaZulu - The Ghanaian goalkeeper has made the difference for the side as they continue to build themselves defensively. A clean sheet from Ofori will ensure that Usuthu continue their run of rebuilding.
