Pollard, De Jager undergo surgery for World Cup injuries
Springbok Rugby World Cup winners Handré Pollard and Lood de Jager are being treated for injuries sustained in the final victory over England in Yokohama, Japan, on Saturday.
Pollard suffered a fractured eye socket during the match and was operated on in Pretoria on Wednesday. He is expected to be out of action for six weeks.
De Jager dislocated his left shoulder at the end of the first quarter. He will undergo surgery in Cape Town next week once the swelling around the joint has subsided. He is expected to return to full fitness in four to six months.
As we continue with our celebrations let's wish and show some love to our magician number 10 Handre Pollard hit a like and retweet.#SpringbokChampions pic.twitter.com/yRgwIQFKcT

Lood de Jager from @Springboks off in the 23rd minute with a suspected L shoulder dislocation. Appears to be an inferior dislocation from that mechanism. Rare dislocation and associated with more structural damage. #ENGvRSA #RWCFinal #RWC2019 pic.twitter.com/JSEq3bu8rF
