Wolaitta Dicha and Ethiopia Coffee ramp up Signings
Ethiopian cup winners, Ethiopia Coffee, and runners - up, Wolaitta Dicha have been the most active in the transfer market.
Wolaitta Dicha have made four signings and extended a contract of two players.
The Tona Bees signed two players from Sidama Coffee, Tewodros Taffese and Muluken Addisu.
Tewodros Tafesse signed a two-year contract for Wollayita Dicha and will be paid 428 440 Birrs monthly salary.
Tewodros began his career at Mechal Sports youth team going on to make the grade with the Mechal senior team before playing for Sidama Coffee and Hadiya Hossana.
Muluken Addisu, the other player who joined Wollayita Dicha from Sidama Coffee signed a two-year contract that allows him to earn 566 380 Birr monthly salary.
Muluken played for Addis Ababa City in the League before heading to Sidama Coffee in 2022.
Yares Gemechu's team also signed Mesay Solomon and Wubshet Kifle from Ethio Electric and Addis Ababa City, respectively.
Mesay signed a one-year contract and Wubshet two years contract.
In addition to these signings, the team extended the contracts of Azaryas Abel and Mesay Nikola for two years each.
Ethiopian cup winners Ethiopia Coffee got the most promising and wanted talented striker in the Country, Habtamu Ashenafi.
Habtamu has been making waves playing in Addis Ababa Divison, fourth tier league, for Furi Kefle City.
He scored 43 goals in 32 apperances in the league, last season.
Habtamu signed a four-year contract which is worth a 5.7-million-birr salary on his stay.
The coffees also extended their goalkeeper coach Tsegazeab Asgdemo's contract for a year.
Ethiopian Insurance made a contract extension of two players. The goalkeeper Abubeker Nura and Mesfin Washe are the players who put a pen to paper, extending their stay at Insurance.
Abubekr Nura extended his contract for two years with 490 000 monthly salary and Mesfin Washe's contract extension was for a year on 105 385-birr monthly salary.
