Deportivo Alavés v Sevilla FC

20 September 2024

Alavés won both of their LaLiga 23/24 meetings with Sevilla, scoring a total of seven goals; the first time in the competition's history that Alavés had scored seven or more goals in the same campaign in two victories against the same opponent.

Sevilla have lost just one of their last five away games against Alavés in LaLiga (W2 D2), 3-4 in August 2023 on their last league visit to Mendizorroza – this was the first time they had lost an away game despite scoring three goals in the competition since February 2015 (3-4 vs Real Sociedad).

Real Valladolid CF v Real Sociedad

21 September 2024

Real Valladolid have won their last two LaLiga matches against Real Sociedad, and only once in the competition's history they have managed three wins in a row against the San Sebastian side, which was in 1987.

Real Sociedad have not won any of their last eight away games against Real Valladolid in LaLiga (D6 L2); only against Atlético de Madrid (G11 D2 L9) are the txuri-urdin side on a longer current run without a win away from home in the competition.

CA Osasuna v UD Las Palmas

21 September 2024

Osasuna have only won one of their last eight matches against UD Las Palmas in LaLiga (D5 L2), drawing the last two. Never in the entire history of the competition have Osasuna drawn three in a row against the Gran Canarian side.

UD Las Palmas have only lost 14.3 per cent of their encounters with Osasuna in LaLiga in the 21st century (G7 W1 D5 L1), their lowest percentage of defeats against the same opponent with at least three meetings in the competition.

Valencia CF v Girona FC

21 September 2024

Valencia have lost their last three games against Girona in LaLiga, having won four of their previous five in the competition (L1).

Valencia have not drawn any of their eight meetings with Girona in LaLiga (W4 L4); only against Pontevedra (G12 W8 L4) have they played more games without a draw in the top-flight (Alcoyano - G8 W8).

Real Madrid v RCD Espanyol

21 September 2024

Real Madrid have won their last nine home games against Espanyol in LaLiga, equalling their best home winning streak against the Perico side in the competition, achieved between 1968 and 1978.

Espanyol have not won any of their last 26 away games against Real Madrid in LaLiga (D3 L23), only against Atlético de Madrid between 1958 and 1996 (G35 D9 L26) have they suffered a longer winless run away from home in the history of the competition (also 26 against Valencia between 1969 and 1998 - G26 D10 L16).

Real Madrid have scored in each of their last 42 home games against Espanyol in LaLiga (111 goals, 2.6 average), the second-best run of home game scoring by a team in the competition's history, after Barcelona's against Celta Vigo between 1942 and 2014 (45 games).

Real Madrid have now gone 37 straight games without defeat in LaLiga (W27 D10), the third-best unbeaten run by a team in the entire history of the competition, after FC Barcelona in 2018 (G43 W34 D9) and Real Sociedad in 1980 (G38 W22 D16).

Getafe CF v CD Leganés

22 September 2024

Getafe have lost just one of their six meetings against Leganés in LaLiga (W3 D2), winning each of the last two against them in the competition without conceding, although that defeat was at home, 0-2 in March 2019.

After losing five consecutive home games to Leganés in all competitions between 1995 and 2003, Getafe have lost just one of their last four at home to Los Pepineros (W2 D1).

Athletic Club v RC Celta de Vigo

September 22, 2024

Athletic have lost three of their last five games against Celta Vigo in LaLiga (W2), as many defeats as in their previous 20 games against the Galicians in the competition (W10 D7 L3).

Since Ernesto Valverde's return, Athletic have won both of their home games against Celta Vigo in LaLiga, having failed to win any of their previous three (D1 L2), and have not won three or more home games in a row against Celta Vigo in the competition since 1989 (W6).

Villarreal CF v FC Barcelona

22 September 2024

Villarreal have won two of their last five meetings with Barcelona in LaLiga (L3), having failed to win any of their previous 25 against the Azulgranas in the competition (D6 L19), although both wins came away.

Barcelona have not lost on any of their last 15 visits to Villarreal in LaLiga (W11 D4), winning on each of the last five - they are the opponents they have visited most times in the competition since 2008/09 without suffering defeat.

Barcelona are unbeaten in their last 15 away games against opponents from the Valencia region (W13 D2), since a 2-0 loss to Valencia in January 2020.

Villarreal have picked up 11 points after their first five games this season in LaLiga (W3 D2), their most at this stage of the competition since the 2015/16 season (13 points), eventually finishing in 4th place.

Rayo Vallecano v Atlético Madrid

22 September 2024

Rayo Vallecano have not won any of their last 14 matches against Atlético de Madrid in LaLiga (D2 L12) since a 2-1 win under Paco Jémez in February 2013. It’s their longest current winless run against any top-flight opponent.

On their last LaLiga visit to face Rayo Vallecano in August 2023, Atlético de Madrid ran out 7-0 winners to record their biggest ever away win in any competitive fixture.

Real Betis v RCD Mallorca

23 September 2024

Real Betis Balompié have won each of their last five matches against Mallorca in LaLiga. Only against four teams have Real Betis won six in a row in the history of the competition: Espanyol in 1983, Real Valladolid in 1999, Real Zaragoza in 2013 and Osasuna in 2022.

Mallorca have not won any of their last eight matches against Real Betis in LaLiga (D2 L6), their worst winless streak against the Bético side in their entire history in the top-flight.
