Nigeria’s Kayinsola Ajayi sent a cheeky message to the world’s No 1 sprinter Oblique Seville when taking down the Jamaican in the men’s 100m final at the Diamond League meeting in London last Saturday.
Seville has been the form man in the 100m this season, but Ajayi beat him at the Prefontaine Classic a few weeks ago and claimed his scalp a second time as he crossed the line in a Nigerian tied national record of 9.84.
Seville was next in 9.87 with Britain's Romell Glave third with a personal-best 9.97, while SA’s Gift Leotlela was fifth in 9.99.
But the moment everyone was talking about was the stare-down as the two fliers crossed the finish line. The tone has been set for the rest of the season….
