Jaime Munguia who is listed at No 1 by the WBA won on a third-round knockout over Gonzalo “El Mago” Coria on Saturday night at the Arena Astros in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
Going into the fight as a 100:1 favourite Munguia scored a knockdown against the southpaw Coria with a right hand in the second round.
Coria was sent down with a body shot in the third round and counted out on his knee.

On the same card WBC, No 13 junior bantamweight Argi Cortes 24-3-2; 10 came back from two knockdowns to win on a ten-round split decision against Erick “Habanerito” Lopez 16-7-2; 10.

ANTHONY YARDE WINS ON THIRD ROUND KNOCKOUT
Light heavyweight Anthony Yarde 23-2; 22 won on a third-round knockout against Stefani Koykov 14-2; 12 at the Telford International Centre in Telford, England on Saturday night.

WBO UPGRADE BELT DESIGN
The World Boxing Organisation have upgraded the design of their world championship and regional championship title belts.
This is the first upgrade since the WBO was founded in 1988.
