Juan Francisco Estrada wins trilogy
Juan Francisco Estrada won the trilogy against Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez on a majority 12-round points decision in a bout for the WBC junior bantamweight belt on Saturday night at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
The faster and slick-moving Estrada scored with combinations throughout.
Gonzalez came back into the fight in the middle rounds but this was not enough as Estrada took the last round.
The scores were 116-112, 115-113 and 114-114.
Estrada improved his record to 44-3; 28 and Gonzalez’ record dropped to 51-4; 41.
On the same card WBC flyweight champion Julio Cesar “El Rey” Martinez (18-2; 14) retained his belt against Samuel Carmona (8-1; 6) on a majority decision.
The scores were 117-111, 116-112 and 114-114.
UNDERCARD
WBO No 12 super middleweight Diego Pacheco (17-0; 14) won on a second-round technical knockout over Adrian Luna (24-9-2; 16). Time was 2:08.
Former world champion and WBC No 5 flyweight Cristofer Rosales (35-6; 21) outworked previously unbeaten IBF No.,3 flyweight Joselito Velazquez (15-1-1; 10) over ten rounds. The scores were 97-93 on all three judges' scorecards.
WBA No 5 middleweight Austin “Ammo” Williams (13-0; 9) outscored Simon Madsen (13-1; 10) over ten rounds. The scores were 99-90 on all three judges' scorecards.
Junior lightweight Marc Castro (9-0; 6) won on an eight-round unanimous decision over Maickol Lopez (16-4; 8).
In a junior featherweight bout Anthony Herrera (4-0-1; 3) stopped Christian Sullivan (8-1; 5) in the third round.
Female junior lightweight Beatriz Ferreira (2-0; 1) won on a second-round stoppage against Carisse Brown (7-3; 4).
FURY – CHISORA UNDERCARD
At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, the 2012 Olympian Denys Berinchyk (17-0; 9) won the European lightweight title against defending champion Yvan Mendy (47-6-1; 22).
The scores were 117-112 and 116-112 twice.
Light heavyweight Karol Itauma (9-0; 7) stopped Vladimir Belujsky (12-6-1; 8) in the eighth round.

DERRIECK CUEVAS WINS IN TWO
Derrieck “Pretty Boy” Cuevas (24-1-1; 16) from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, stopped Esneiker “La Maravilla” Correa (15-3-1; 13) of Venezuela in the second round at the Georgia International Convention Centre in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday night.
Cueves won the vacant WBA Fedecentro junior middleweight title.
DAVID LIGHT WINS WBO INTERNATIONAL TITLE
WBO No 6 cruiserweight David “Great White” Light (20-0; 12) came back from a tenth-round knockdown to win on a ten-round split decision over WBO No 7 Brandon “Bulletproof” Glanton (17-1; 14) on Friday night at the White Sands Events Centre in Plant City, Florida, USA.
The scores were 95-94 for Glanton, and 95-94, 97-92 for Light.
Light won the WBO International title.
JOSH KELLY WINS BRITISH TITLE
The 2016 Olympian Josh “Pretty Boy” Kelly (13-1-1; 7) scored a one-sided 12-round unanimous points decision over British junior middleweight champion Troy Williamson (19-1-1; 14) on Friday night at the Newcastle Arena in Newcastle, England.
The scores were 119-111, 119-110, and 118-110.
Light heavyweight “King” Lyndon Arthur (21-1; 14) won on a second-round stoppage against “El Toro” Joel McIntyre (20-5; 5).
Heavyweight Franklin Ignatius (5-0-1; 1) outscored Hosea Stewart (2-1-1, 0) over six rounds.
