JAIME MUNGUIA WINS CLOSE DECISION
Former WBO junior middleweight champion Jaime Munguia 42-0; 32 won on a close twelve-round unanimous points decision against 37-year-old Sergiy “The Technician” Derevyanchenko 14-5; 10 in a super middleweight bout at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California on Saturday night.
The scores were 115-112 and 114-113 twice.
Both fighters came out fast at the opening bell to score with some big shots as Derevyanchenko stunned Munguia in the third and fifth rounds.
However, Munguia came back strongly in round eleven and scored a knockdown in the 12th round to take a narrow decision.
