'Big Bang' Zhang stops Joyce again

In a return match, WBO interim heavyweight champion Zhilei “Big Bang” Zhang once again stopped Joe Joyce when he knocked him out in the third round on Saturday night at the OVA Arena in London. 

Zhang scored with some big punches in the second round but then sent Joyce down and out with a big right hand in the third round. The time was 3:07. 

Zhang improved his record to 26-1-1; 21 and Joyce's record dropped to 15-2; 14.

YARDE WINS IN SECOND ROUND

On the undercard, Anthony Yarde (24-3; 23) smashed late substitute Jorge Silva (22-9; 12) to defeat in two rounds in a light heavyweight bout. 

Super middleweight Zach Parker (23-1; 17) won against Khalid Graidia (10-13-4; 2), who did not come out at the bell for the fourth round. 

Junior welterweight Pierce O’Leary (13-0; 7) won on a 10-round unanimous points decision over Kane Gardner (16-3; 7). The scores were 100-90, 99-92, 99-92. 

HITCHINS WINS ONE-SIDED BOUT

The WBO No 4 and IBF No 7 junior welterweight Richardson Hitchins (17-0; 7) outscored WBC No 6, Jose “Chon” Zepeda (37-4; 28) over 12 rounds on Saturday night at the Caribe Royale in Orlando. The scores were 119-109 and 120-108 twice. 

Junior middleweight Conor Benn (22-0; 14), making a return to the ring after 17 months, outpointed Rodolfo “Sinaloita” Orozco (32-4-3; 24) over 10 rounds. The scores were 96-94 and 99-91 twice. 

In a clash for the WBA, WBC and WBO women’s welterweight titles, Sandy Ryan (6-1-1, 2) and Jessica McCaskill (12-3-1; 5) fought to a 10-round draw. 

The scores were 97-93 McCaskill, 96-94 for Ryan, with the third judge handing in a card of 95-95.

SCHWARZ WINS AGAINST DOVBYSHEHENKO

In a heavyweight bout, Tom Schwarz (27-1; 19) outpointed Kostiantyn Dovbyshchenko (10-13-1; 7) on Saturday night at the GETEC Arena in Magdeburg, Germany. The scores were 97-93 twice and 97-94. 

Former WBA super middleweight champion Tyron Zeuge (27-1-1; 15) won on a unanimous eight-round points decision against Nasser Bukenya (6-4; 4). The scores were 79-72, 80-71, 80-71. 

Light heavyweight Ardian Krasniqi (6-0; 6) won on a first-round knockout over Deniz Altz. The time was 1:33.
