Gervonta “Tank” Davis retained the WBA secondary lightweight belt on a sixth-round stoppage against Rolando “Rolly” Romero at the Barclay’s Centre in Brooklyn New York on Saturday night.

He beat the count but was in no condition to continue as the referee David Fields waved the fight off at 2 minutes 39 seconds into the round.
Davis improved his record to 27-0; 25 and Romero’s record dropped to 14-1; 12.
In the second world-title fight on the bill the WBA secondary middleweight champion Erislandy “The America Dream” Lara (29-3-3; 17) stopped Gary “Spike” O’Sullivan (31-5; 21) at 23 seconds into round eight.
