Chasing the Sun 2 showed us this past weekend the heart of the Springbok team under pressure.

But what is it like in the changeroom before a test match? What does Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus say to the Springboks before they go out onto the field to face the opposition?

In this exclusive unedited clip from Chasing the Sun 2, we put you in the room as Rassie gives his team talk before the Scotland game. As he sets the team up for an epic opening World Cup win.

In the team talk, Rassie underlines the need to play for each other and how the strength of the bond between team members will carry them through.

And Rassie explains that if they play according to their structure, according to their plan, nobody can tear them apart.

There is also a moment where he addresses how they will handle referee Angus Gardner from moment one in the game.

“We are going to get this ref’s respect. From minute one. We are not going to suck up to him. But he will see we are going to be honest and genuine from minute one,” Erasmus says, contradicting a lot of the preconceived ideas around him and referees.

The clip is a rare insight into the Springbok psyche, into the heart of a side that played for each other and for the country they represent.

It is a side that truly was stronger together.
