The battle for the CSA 4-day title continued on day two of the final round of fixtures, with the Lions, Titans and Warriors all still in the hunt on Saturday.

TITANS' ROLL CHECKED BY WEATHER

The Momentum Multiply Titans' roll was stopped by bad weather as an early stumps saw them on 261 for three, just nine runs short of the Imperial Lions' first innings score on day two at SuperSport Park in Centurion.

The Titans were all set to build a lead over the Lions' 270 all out, with Theunis de Bruyn (92no) nearing his century when poor weather ended play early.

The Titans had resumed after tea on 205 for two, with De Buryn and Heinrich Klaasen (35) extending their third-wicket stand to 55 before Klaasen was trapped LBW by Codi Yusuf.

Sobonelo Makhanya (20 not out) then joined De Bruyn and they took their team to an early close.

Earlier in the day in the post lunch session the Titans made good progress, after picking up their innings on 94 for one.

Neil Brand (81) and De Bruyn extended their second-wicket stand to 95 before Brand became the only wicket of the session, caught by Joshua Richards off the bowling of Malusi Siboto.

Klaasen joined De Bruyn and they took their side to tea in a strong position.

In the morning session openers Grant Mokoena (25) and Brand shared in a 69-run first-wicket partnership, before Mokoena became the only wicket of the session, bowled by Yusuf, before De Bruyn and Brand eased their side to lunch in a solid position.

Moore was caught by Nathan Roux off the bowling of Migael Pretorius and Lesiba Ngoepe was bowled for a fifth-ball duck by Nipho Mpungose as they slipped to 36 for two.
