South African-born coach Morena Ramoreboli won the Botswana Premier League title with Jwaneng Galaxy FC on Wednesday, which was the first club title of his coaching career.

Galaxy won the league title with one game to spare after beating Holy Ghost 2-0 on Wednesday, which also secured them a return to the CAF Champions League.

The 42-year-old coach rose to prominence in South Africa with Maluit FET College in the Nedbank Cup a decade ago.

Galaxy were unbeaten through the first half of the campaign and only lost two games in 2022/23 to secure the club’s second Botswana Premier League title after wining in 2019/20.

Galaxy are on 69 points with one game still left in the season.

To date, the mining side have registered 21 victories, six draws and two losses.

Ramoreboli’s side are the second highest scoring team in the league with 64 goals and they have only conceded 21 goals in the season so far.
