Gill was simply unstoppable — stroking an imperious 84 off just 44 balls, laced with nine fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 190.90, systematically dismantling every bowler the Royals threw at him. Jofra Archer was taken apart — 46 runs bled from three wicketless overs — and Tushar Deshpande and Brijesh Sharma fared little better as Gill marshalled the Titans' innings with a captain's masterful blend of power and precision.
Supported by a composed 55 from Sai Sudharsan (36 balls, 6x4, 2x6), a blistering 37 not out off 20 balls from Washington Sundar, and a typically savage late cameo of 14 not out off just 4 balls from Rahul Tewatia — including two sixes in the 19th over — the Titans amassed a formidable 229 for four from their 20 overs after being sent in to bat first. The Royals' run-chase never gained any sustained momentum — despite a feisty 38 from Jadeja and Jurel's punchy 24 off 10 balls — and they ultimately fell 77 runs short in what was a decisive Titans statement of intent. With this victory, the Gujarat Titans go level on points with table-toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad.
