Afghanistan's Rashid Khan will miss a one-off test against India next month but selectors on Tuesday included the ace spinner in the squad for the three-match one-day series.
The 27-year-old spinner was advised to cut down on long-format cricket to manage workload as he plays in several Twenty20 franchise leagues.
Unfit opener Ibrahim Zadran will also miss the test, which is scheduled for June 6-10 in New Chandigarh.
Hashmatullah Shahidi will lead the test side as well as in three one-day internationals that follow, which will be played in Dharamsala (June 13), Lucknow (June 17) and Chennai (June 20).
