Pathum Nissanka struck an undefeated 31 in 18 balls to help Delhi Capitals to 55 for one wicket at the conclusion of the power play in their Tata IPL clash against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Arum Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Friday night.
Both teams are positioned low in the log and are desperate for points to qualify for the playoffs. KKR won the toss and put the home team into bat.
Delhi left out David Miller from the starting XI but included Tristan Stubbs and Lungi Ngidi.
Delhi made a brisk start, helped by some loose bowling and shoddy fielding by KKR.
KL Rahul was quickly into his stride but was dismissed off the last ball of the fifth over, lofting pace bowler Kartik Tyagi to deep mid-on where Cameron Green safely held the catch.
