Bryce Parsons (83 off 38) and Grant Roelofsen (72 off 33) were relentless with the bat after being sent in, posting a formidable 239 for five from their 20 overs.
The pair put on a commanding second-wicket partnership after Khaya Zondo had provided the Dolphins with a flying start, scoring 47 from 27 balls.
With the daunting task of 240 for victory, the Heat struggled to establish momentum in their chase.
Nonelela Yikha provided some resistance with a brisk 43 off 23 balls, while Jordan Neil added 27 from just 13 deliveries.
Okuhle Cele was the pick of the bowlers for the hosts, returning 3-28 while Parsons made an all-round performance with 2-22 and Sean Gilson recorded 2-8 from 1.4 overs.
The Heat were eventually bowled out for 135 in 16.4 overs, handing the Dolphins a comprehensive 104-run victory and their first win of the competition.
